PTFE gaskets are used in most general applications. It is extremely soft and moldable, so it is often used to make chemical-resistant seals and gaskets.

It is produced directly by the resin manufacturer and is never processed in any way. It has the highest physical, electrical and electrical insulating properties, and has increased resistance to creep (compression) under load. Virgin PTFE can be recognized by its whiter color compared to mechanical PTFE.

PTFE gaskets are made from a synthetic fluoropolymer, tetrafluoroethylene, which is composed entirely of carbon and fluorine. It is inherently hydrophobic (repels water and water-containing substances) and has one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid.

PTFE has excellent dielectric properties and provides excellent thermal insulation over an operating temperature range of -200°C to 260°C. PTFE is the most chemically resistant plastic known and is unaffected by most corrosive liquids, vapors and gases.

PTFE gaskets have a number of unique features:

1.Exceptional chemical resistance.

2.Non-corrosive, non-wetting, non-polluting and odorless.

3.Can operate effectively at temperatures ranging from cryogenic to +260°C.

4.Excellent electrical and thermal insulation in the form of pure PTFE.

PTFE gaskets can be reinforced with fillers such as carbon or graphite to reduce creep under high pressures and temperatures.

We precision cut pure and composite PTFE gasket profiles to suit a wide variety of sealing applications.

PTFE gaskets have superior flexibility, allowing them to create an airtight seal even on uneven surfaces and difficult sealing conditions. These gaskets also exhibit minimal creep and cold flow, characteristics that are critical to maintaining seal integrity over long periods of time and under fluctuating temperatures.
